County Tax Board Affiliations and Liaisons

• New Jersey Tax Court
  
• Division of Local Property under the New Jersey Department of Treasury
  
• Middlesex County Board of Freeholders

• The Tax Assessors of each of the twenty-five municipalities located within the County of Middlesex
  
• The Finance Officers of the twenty-five municipalities located within the County of Middlesex
  
• The Tax Collectors of each of the twenty-five municipalities located within the County of Middlesex

County Tax Board Functions:

• Develop and issue the annual Table of Equalized Property Values
  
• Develop and issue the annual Abstract of Property Ratables
  
• Conduct annual appeal real property appeal hearings
  
• Conduct annual Added and Omitted appeal hearings
  
• Certify the annual municipal tax rates
  
• Maintain the annual tax list books filed by each municipality
  
• Maintain up-to-date tax maps for each municipality
  
• Enter in electronic form the necessary data from each recorded deed for the purpose of assisting the Division of Taxation in preparation of the annual ratio of assessed to real value in each municipality and the coefficient of deviation comparisons for each municipality
