JUVENILE UNIT: The Juvenile Unit acts as a representative of the
State in prosecuting alljuvenile delinquency complaints scheduled on
the Mandatory Counsel (Formal) Calendar in the Family Part of the Superior
Court.
In conjunction with the previously stated purpose, the Juvenile Unit
acts as the liaison between the local police departments and the Prosecutor's
Office in all juvenile matters.
Further, the Juvenile Unit participates in various office-sponsored
programs whose goal it is to deter juveniles from becoming involved
in the criminal justice system.
