The
driver of the vehicle, Allen McGovern, (DOB 11/21/90) of Rahway, and another
passenger, identified as a 16-year-old girl, were injured and were flown by
helicopter to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
McGovern is listed in stable condition and the 16-year-old passenger is listed
in critical condition.
A

highway in a 1997 Ford Explorer, apparently lost control of his vehicle, crashed
into a guardrail and struck a tree, shortly before 8:46 p.m.
The
preliminary investigation also determined that neither drugs nor alcohol played
a role in the crash, but police are awaiting the results of additional tests. No
charges have been filed and no summonses have been issued.
Since
the crash, police have been searching for a light-colored mini-van, driven by
someone who may have additional information about the incident.
That
motorist, as well as anyone else with information, is asked to contact Officer
Joseph Angelo, of the Woodbridge Police Department, at (732) 634-7700, or
