South River man charged with forgery, fraud

††††††††† The investigation began when postal inspectors intercepted
fraudulent money orders valued at more than $75,000 at post offices in
The bogus money orders were traced to Gray by investigators, who determined that he was planning to use the counterfeit instruments to overpay for purchases on the internet, and receive cash from sellers to compensate him for the amount of his overpayments.
During the investigation, authorities seized more than 200 phony money orders.

As is the case with all criminal defendants, the charges against Gray are merely accusations and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
