School teacher arrested on sex assault, child endangerment charges
††††††††† James I. Clancy, (DOB 2/2/74) of 39 Crampton Avenue, Woodbridge, was arrested at Woodbridge Police Headquarters on November 11, 2009, and was charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of the child.
††††††††† Clancy, who has been an English teacher at
††††††††† He was arrested and charged after an investigation by Investigator
James Kelly of the Middlesex County Prosecutorís Office and Detective Robert
Ptaszynski of the Woodbridge Police Department determined that Clancy had
relations with the student in
††††††††† He was charged with child endangerment for making lewd
comments and sending lewd e-mails to the student in
††††††††† The investigation began a few days ago, after the matter came to the attention of law enforcement.
