Municipal judge charged with voter fraud
Spencer Robbins (DOB 2/19/52) of Chatham surrendered today at the Middlesex County Courthouse in New Brunswick, where he was served with the two-count complaint charging him with the third degree offenses.
Robbins was released in his own recognizance pending further court action.
He was charged following a lengthy investigation by the Middlesex County Prosecutorís Office, which last week notified Spencer and the courts that charges would be filed.
Spencer subsequently resigned his municipal judgeships.

As is the case with all criminal defendants, the charges against Robbins are merely accusations and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
