Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce Kaplan and Old Bridge Township Police Chief William Volkert announced today that a summer camp counselor has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a juvenile boy under the age of 13, who was an acquaintance of his.


Nicholas Goolic (DOB 8/7/93) of Norman Lane, Old Bridge Township, was arrested on Sunday, July 29, 2012.Goolic was charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault, Sexual Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a child.Goolic remains in custody in lieu of $100,000 bail, set by the Honorable Lorraine Pullen, JSC.


He was arrested and charged after an investigation by Detective Michael Blahota, of the Old Bridge Township Police Department, and Investigator Karleen Duca, of the Middlesex County Prosecutorís Office Sex Crimes Unit, determined that the Goolic assaulted the boy, who was an acquaintance of his, on July 29, 2012.


Goolic was employed by the Old Bridge Township Department of Parks and Recreation, for the past two summers, as a camp counselor.This summer, Goolic was assigned to supervise first and second graders at the James McDivitt Elementary School this year.Last summer, Goolic worked at the Grade 9 Center, as a part-time counselor to 4th through 6th graders.As of today, Old Bridge Township has suspended his employment.
