FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Warming Locations Remain Open
throughout Middlesex County

MIDDLESEX COUNTY Freeholder Director Ronald G. Rios said today that warming locations are continuing to operate throughout the County as the region experiences extreme low temperatures.

Residents should call ahead to make sure facilities are open.

Temperatures and precipitation will dictate how long warming locations will remain open.

“I encourage all residents whose heat has failed or is not working properly or who are experiencing extreme cold due to other circumstances to go to your local warming location,” Rios said. “It is our duty as elected officials to safeguard the health of our citizens, especially now when these weather conditions put their health and safety at great risk.”

Rios said the County’s Office of Emergency Management and Preparedness, Office of Health Services and Office of Human Services coordinated with the municipalities in setting up these warming locations.

The times listed in the chart were current as of Tuesday, Jan. 28. Residents are instructed to call their local Police Department or Office of Emergency Management for any questions or further information.
