County, Non-Profits Explore Ways
to Meet Demand in Challenging Economic Times

WHEN: 9 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, February 4
WHERE: Middlesex County Fire Academy, Sayreville
WHY: The Middlesex County Department of Human Services, chaired by Freeholder Blanquita B. Valenti, has invited representatives from nearly 100 non-profit organizations to an Interactive Provider Forum to discuss issues and concerns surrounding the challenging economic times. The morning will include a keynote address, “A Shared Services Vision for Non-Profits,” from Freeholder H. James Polos. Two panel discussions will follow: “Challenges in the Public Sector” and “How Social Service Agencies Are Adapting to the Challenges of New Realities in an Age of Scarcity.” Between 75 and 100 representatives from County contracted agencies are expected to attend.
