Middlesex County Public Health Department
Obtains Additional Seasonal Influenza Vaccine

Middlesex County Freeholder Ronald G. Rios has announced that the County Public Health Department has obtained additional doses of seasonal influenza vaccine.

As a result, the Department will hold an additional flu vaccine clinic from noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27 at the George J. Bush Center for Human Services, 1 Old Bridge Plaza, Route 516, Old Bridge.

“We have been working diligently to secure more flu vaccine for our residents, and I am pleased to announce that our work has paid off,” said Freeholder Rios, chair of the County’s Public Health and Education Committee. “We now will be able to serve more of our residents. We encourage residents to come to the additional clinic or search for other clinics within their communities to help protect themselves against seasonal flu.”

The County-run clinic will be open to Middlesex County residents ages 18 and older. There will be a charge of $10 per vaccination. The $10 fee will be accepted in “cash only,” and exact change is strongly recommended.

Medicare will be billed for seasonal influenza immunizations where applicable. Residents without Medicare coverage will be charged $10 for the immunization. Proof of age and residency is required and no one under 18 years of age will be vaccinated.
