WHAT DO WE DO?
The Middlesex County Division of Addictions and Mental Health Planning
The Division serves as the comprehensive mental health and addiction services planning entity, recommending and monitoring allocation of Federal, State and County funds for behavioral health care programs, with a focus on consumer empowerment, recovery awareness, prevention, wellness, cultural competence and ending stigma.
The Division includes Addiction Services Administration, Mental Health Administration; Intoxicated Driver Resource Center (IDRC); Coordination of Municipal Alliances, Substance Abuse Education and Public Awareness; and the Ryan White Services.
Under the Mental Health Administration, the Division is also mandated to act as the local coordinator of the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management’s mental health response in the event of a declared disaster or community incident and local crisis counselor training and credentialing.
This Division provides opportunity for integration of care, shared resources, and the ability to help build a combined system that provides best and promising practices for consumers faced with co-occurring issues.
