The powers and duties of the Department of Highways and Bridges shall include the inspection and maintenance of all County roads within the jurisdiction of the County and issuance and enforcement of road opening permits and restrictions. The Road Supervisor shall perform such other duties as may be assigned it from time to time by the Board and such other duties as are imposed upon him by statue.
