  Omnibus  ~  the Traveling Museum
outreach projects for schools and community groups

Omnibus is a unique lending collection of portable exhibits, media programs, extension workshops and public talks. Omnibus is an outreach project of the Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission and its two historic site projects:

Cornelius Low House / Middlesex County Museum

East Jersey Olde Towne Village

Funded by the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the New Jersey Historical Commission, these programs are unique to the Commission. Award winning and designed to address Core Curriculum Standards for History, the Omnibus projects have been seen by tens of thousands of young people and traveled to veterans homes, assisted living centers and other community gatherings.

Scheduling

Programs may be scheduled for a site within MIDDLESEX COUNTY, for instance at a local elementary, middle or high schools; for municipal or township organizations, at libraries; historic sites and preservation societies; senior citizen & community centers; for scout groups and other local nonprofit organizations.
